Brilliant Boxcab: After a cosmetic refurbishment by the B&O Museum, CNJ 1000 is looking pretty good.

Saturday April 2, 1955, was an off-day for CNJ 1000, basking in the filtered sunlight of an early Spring day. Monday its back to work on the carfloat to the Bronx.

CNJ 1000 was one of the first diesel locomotives on revenue service. The locomotive is protected from the environment, being one of the displays inside the B&O Railroad Museum's roundhouse.
